she sits by the window-sill, enid blyton in hand. t'was a dreary afternoon. what else could possibly be done in such weather? she didn't like naps, so this was a much better alternative. a duster was in sight, just across the table. great, an opportunity for play. with no rules, no boundaries, save for that of her imagination. swish swish, goes the bristles, as she imagines her life on a reel.
And it has never stopped rolling.
But i tuck the image safely away in the recesses of my mind; the file cabinet that would no doubt lay dusty eventually. Time to sort out the files.."that's the way you grow, you let go", starworld says. We live in a risk society, and it's tough growing up.
