many many thoughts running thru my head.
juz heard of e death of a relative..
he commited suicide coz he din want his children to share his burden.
he was suffering frm a terminal disease.
he left his 80+ yr old wife to fend for herself, after having stood by her for so many years.

?!?!?!

did he have his children in mind when he decided to jump? was he thinking about all the medical fees they could save if he died? did he think they could bear to leave him sick?
or was he juz being selfish? was he afraid? did he think it was best to give up without a fight, tt it was best tt his wife spent e rest of her years alone?
when he was standing at the edge, did he stop to think how heartbroken his wife would be, how heartbroken she is now? how they're all crying their hearts out right now?

he must have. he loved them.

so why, why, why ???

i shudder to think of where he may be right now.

how brittle life is ehs?
all but a breath,
but how precious it is too

its the end of the year again!
& i got hit wiv e end-of-year syndrome --- thinking n thinking about this whole year.

its simply so amazing! just 1 year of walking with God has made such a difference.
for a change, i din make it thru tis year thinking i was alone. He was with me, & His presence made all the difference.
in the span of 1 year, He really opened my eyes man!

He's so faithful, so full of grace!
when i was fearful, He took my fears away.
when i was down, He sent friends to encourage me.
even when i doubted Him, He still provided support.
no matter what, i could count on Him.
He was the one who provided all that i needed.
He was the one who gave what's best for me

every single event that happened this year, be it good or bad, served to build up my faith n trust in Him.
in just 1 year, He taught me so much.
His love is so abundant that He does things for me even when i din pray for it! i.e holding the rain
did u know He loves us so much tt He actually sings when He sees us?!
God leh!

im so thankful lah!

come 2008, i wanna know Him even more.
i wanna be ultra-sensitive to His voice.
i seek not his manifested presence, but his omnipresence.
i wanna do even more for Him.
i want Him to use me.
i want to lay down my pride for Him
i want to be a doer, for faith without action is dead.
i dun wanna NATO
i want to shine His light in the darkest place.
i want to depend fully on Him and on Him alone.
i want to keep my faith, run all the way.

what about u?? :D

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT
.
A Baltimore congregation found the answer to their financial troubles on the wall of their church. And it had been "hiding" there for more than 25 years! Someone finally recognized a piece of art hanging in the chapel - it was a valuable woodblock print by Albrecht Durer, dated 1493. The work shows the angel telling Mary she would give birth to God's Son.
.
Some members just could not believe they had been unaware of the value of the old masterpiece, saying in effect, "If it were real, why would it be here?"
.
What about us? Are we overlooking the value of the event depicted on that woodblock print?
.
Jesus isnt hiding. The truth that God came to earth in human form is plainly announced in His Word. It is reflected in our art and in our hymnbooks. But the significance of Christ's birth is still neglected.
.
We get so wrapped up in activities and programs that we miss the immeasurable worth of knowing who that Baby was.
.
What's missing is our worship. Think about the meaning of His birth. Jesus is God! He came to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21) and give us eternal life (John 3:14-18).
.
This Christmas, join with the wisemen & shepherds & give praise to Jesus - God who became Man.

-Mart De Haan
He left His Father's throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace!
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
-Wesley
Christ's birth brought the infinite God to finite man.
.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL :)

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said,
"Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."

Then the second tree said,
"Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."

Finally the third tree said,
"I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said,
"This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" ... and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree a woodsman said,
"This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said,
"I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.
The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end.
The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

open your eyes

I see you hanging there
bloodstain & freedom in your hands
I see amazing grace
agony & passion on your face

now that i see you,
i know your love commands my soul
now that i know you,
i see there's no one else for me
there's no one else for me

I see you standing here
scarred hands of hope have been revealed
I see you took my place
what was meant for me has been erased

open your eyes, look to the skies
the king of love, the king of heaven
tell everyone, your daughters & sons
the king of love, the king of heaven!

IM BACK!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHHAKZ

what can i say?
mission trip was AWESOME

i saw God move.
i saw God's love for the thais.
i saw how God can use EVERYONE, no matter how weak u think u may be.
i saw how hard Satan tried to break God's workers apart.
i experienced what it meant to say that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

how God's heart muz have broke when some reject Him,
how His heart muz have broke when we couldnt share to so many others due to time constraints.

this trip taught me so many lessons!
thank God ive been given tis opportunity :)
