I miss the feeling of being so assimilated into a community. somehow, that's very hard to find outside. so i'm thankful for whatever i've found anyway (:

Ad shared some fresh perspective today, regarding religion. and oh goodness.................... it was just SO irratating to have to just sit there and listen. (coz you gotta be sensitive when it comes to "professing" your religion, ynoe).

in a nutshell, i do not believe that devoted christians are economically motivated to be christians. that's like .........!!?!?!??! from an insider's perspective, and from personal experiences, economic motivation is far from a motivation to be a christian. well maybe for some, it could be some unconscious thing... but no. NO!

AND, love may not be a rational behaviour, but it is not commoditized either. Love is not something unconscious in all of us out to seek future economic stability in marriage. and there IS such a thing as unconditional love! GAHHH..........

sometimes i think sociologists think abt such stuff too much.. Over complication, cynics in the making, depressed people who think we're all doomed in this capitalist world. (well ya fine thats true, but some emotions are NON-capitalist!!!!!!!!!) We dehumanize ourselves all the time man...... stupid. only useful in raising an objective uni-grad so he/she is prepared to survive this capitalist world with homogenizing culture and transnational communities.

*disclaimer: still like socio. im just voicing out certain disagreements from whatever was dumped into my head tday. mmhmm.

There's value in the things of old. nostalgia and whatnot. maybe reminiscences are welcomed because we find comfort in what's past, simply because the past is certain. no tricks up its sleeve. good old days.
i enjoyed the sec sch phase even whilst i was going thru it. i sure remember the laughs (and the tears). it's been 4 years since we've all gone our different directions. happy valentine's, my dears :)

this is like the 3rd time im "spraining" my neck this mth. it just keeps recurring, it's not my fault! i didnt even do anything "dangerous" whatsoever this time round, save for answering my phone handsfree.. unless you count turning my head too often?........and it hurts like...... ouch.

in my opinion, Mimosas are cute. smart plant too. thorns, fast-closing leaves, all in the name of defense. I wonder what it takes, and exactly how long it takes for mimosa leaves to open up again once they've been poked. but we all know it eventually will, provided it's in the sunlight.

tsk. hate working with people who think they're so darn right all the time, and who refuse to admit their mistakes, and who make decisions on your behalf based on their minuscule understanding of you. TSK.
